Come learn some common sense solutions to parenting challenges with Miss Sally, Parent Educator, and Doula. This class is for 8 weeks, with options for personalized support throughout the course and after. Class Outline ​- Starting January 11 This 8-week class will learn: -Week 1: What Is Parenting And Parenting Types. Week 2: Child Development Week 3: Child Development And How It Applies To Parenting Styles. Week 4: Importance Of Play And Its Importance To Child Development And Learning. Week 5: Importance Of Language And How We Speak To Our Children Week 6: Affirmations, Meditation, Self-Care Week 7: Cortisol And Parenting – Reactive Vs Responsive Week 8: Generational Cycles, Tools, And Community Helpers Each class is an hour long filled with experiential learning through zoom ​ What is Positive Discipline? Positive Discipline is formed from the psychological works of Alfred Adler and Rudolf Dreikurs, formed in the 1920's and 1930's later coined "Positive Discipline" by Jane Nelson and Lynn Lott. Positive Discipline, through the decades, has been used by professionals, parents, childcare providers, and the like. Miss Sally brings her gentle touch of mindfulness and care in a judgment-free setting while working with families. Positive Discipline offers families many tools to overcome daily struggles and follows 5 main principles of criteria: Helps children feel a sense of connection.  Is mutually respectful and encouraging.   Is effective long-term.  Teaches important social and life skills.   Invites children to discover how capable they are.  Learn tools today and book a class
